School-led wraparound care at Stisted Academy

Start and Stay is Stisted Academy's school-led wraparound care offer, providing trusted breakfast and after-school provision for children at our school.

Run by the school, for our school community, Start and Stay gives children a safe, familiar and enriching place to be before school and after school.

Our aim is simple: to support working families with reliable, high-quality childcare while giving children the opportunity to eat well, play, build friendships, enjoy enrichment and flourish beyond the school day.

In line with Canonium Learning Trust's Wraparound Care Policy, the school will continue to review participation levels, operational viability and community needs when considering its wraparound offer. Our aim is to ensure that any provision introduced is sustainable, high-quality and responsive to the needs of children and families.

A school-led approach

Start and Stay is run by our schools, for our school communities.

This means provision is shaped around the needs of children and families. Children remain in a familiar environment, supported by staff who understand the school, its routines, its safeguarding arrangements and its values.

As part of Canonium Learning Trust, Stisted Academy works with other schools across the Trust to share expertise, resources and strong systems. This helps us provide wraparound care that is consistent, sustainable and focused on children’s wellbeing.

Ad-hoc bookings may be available where staffing and capacity allow.
